2. Description of service

Quiet Augury is a word oracle - an entertainment and educational experience that listens to what you write and offers words in return. The method by which words are chosen is part of the oracle's original design and has been faithfully preserved. The Service is provided for entertainment, reflection, and vocabulary-learning purposes only.

3. No professional advice

The words and readings provided by Quiet Augury do not constitute professional, medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. The oracle's responses are offered for contemplation and should not be used as a basis for important life decisions. If you need professional guidance, please consult a qualified professional.

4. User accounts

You may use Quiet Augury as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the Service
• Use automated tools to make excessive requests
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

6. Intellectual property

The Quiet Augury name, logo, design, and the oracle's original method are the property of the Service operator. Word definitions sourced from public dictionaries remain in the public domain. Your query text and readings belong to you.

7. Shared content

When you share a reading via a public link, you acknowledge that anyone with the link can view the query text and words from that reading. Shared links do not reveal your identity or account information.

8. Limitation of liability

Quiet Augury is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to decisions made based on the oracle's readings.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms or for any reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
